Fuel Primer

Im in the process of restoring a 46 11AC im at the stage of putting the panel and instrument controls in. The primer is a Lunkenhiemer it seems pretty simple nothing you can actually rebuild. So my question is, are they a pretty reliable primer any problems with them leaking or should I just go ahead and replace it with the one AS had in there catalog?

Pretty sure that's what we have in a couple of our Champs and have never had any problems....leaking or otherwise (not priming). Think I'd try it first before going out and spending $$$ for a new one. Stick it in a bucket of fuel and see what it does.
