Got an extra C-26 spark plug anyone?

Post by joea »

Mike F with the very authentic Aeronca L-3 on this list is out of the country on business. He is in the middle of an annual and just found out that one of the spark plugs is no good.

Its a C-26 (I believe) the old style harness with the clip on lead, not the screw on shielded lead.

Anyone have an extra plug (or two) that they might be willing to get rid of?

Thx,

Joe

Joe,
Have Mike get a hold of me. I may have just what he needs, new and used.
I need to get down there and take a look at his new plane.

C-26 plugs are long gone--been for years--they were replaced by EM41E's--I'd have to look but I may have some laying around someplace. If I did have them they would be used. I have converted everything for years to shielded plugs and harness.

Carl,

Mike is back in town. Did you get a chance to mail anything out yet?

He has been off the forum for a while but hope he is back on shortly.

Thx,

Joe

C-26

Joe.

I have about 1000 Continental style spark plugs of various kinds (don't ask why) but I could only find 8 used Chanpion A-26 plugs. I'm sure there are three which will work well. I thought I had NOS Champion plugs but I can;'t find them. I'll shoot all 8 tomorrow next day.
My Big Plan was to ask him to take what he need and send the what proceeds he feels fair to the NAA and return the rest of the plugs to me. It's my fault for continuing to dig though though the attic intsead of just getting the job done.

Carl,

That sounds fine with me and sure that Mike will agree.

Appreciate the help!

Thx,

Joe

PS, if you find any good REM38 or 40E's around that you want to get rid of pls let me know. Found 4 or so in the Sedan that were not as good as the others.
