mikeberg/wi wrote:Personally, that Champ looks pretty losesome without it's wings. Wonder what the time line is to finish it..... . Also, looks like the instrument thieves have been lurking about. Most likely they're the ones who left the cans. Probably should check for finger prints.

The question is: will it be finished before next Middletown??

Tater, do tell: what were you searching for when you found the bear video? Does bring up some interesting questions. Not sure I want all the answers. SFC Hiatt, you got to get up to the Convention. You would have a ball. Watch out for Mark Lamon. I am worried because I think we are starting to understand how he thinks. Tater: I got more parts than you do!!! Keep digging! DJ

You gents better be sure to bring your "margarita machine" in 2010. I can supply a jug or two of Tequila!

Great news Guys! I have just been informed that at the next gathering there is going to be a musical recreation of "Deliverance" for everyone to enjoy. Mark has kindly volunteered to play Ned Beatty's part. Boy that takes a load off my mind. And Tater is practicing his Banjo playing with great anticipation. Maybe Joe can play Burt's part! At least he has a mustache...Who want's to help fill out the cast? DJ

Jody, there isnt much on this thread that "is right" and I am glad that I did not start it! :)

Nobody has "paid me a visit" in a couple of months, and the cat is at times looking pretty good, but is too damm fast and still has claws. The holidays are coming up and may have to give in and go bother a girlfriend or two shortly! :)

Have been too busy working with the Sedan annual, getting some work done on the cars and motorcycles and bloody taxes to fuss with ladies!

Hey Mark, Looks like someone already started parting it out, I bet that old abonded fuselage has a few usable parts still on it...like maybe a friction knob for the trim adjustment! I've been wondering where I could find a heater box for the cabin heat as well, so I could keep my left big toe a tad warm in the winter time! (My Champ is a Puerto Rico native and restored in Sunny Florida in 2005, so it never needed one before! Now, though, it does see some cooler weather in late December and January). Wonder how much the owner would take for the parts?

Mark,
I had several pictures of the car but I can't find them right off. Will keep you posted if they surface.

Donald! You and the rest of banjo playin Georgia boys better stay away from ma plane. In fact, because of the raggin and hell I've gotten, I actually started working on it again. Who knows, it may actually fly sooner than later!

Joe, I did find the rudder lock as I started taxing out. Right where I left it.... on the rudder. :x

The tail pipe of Jody's car was the best though. Wonder if that works on an airplane???
