Forgive me for being 'technilogy challenged' but what's involved with selling stuff on EBAY? Is it necessary to have a Pay Pal account, etc? I've bought stuff off ebay but never sold anything. I had a Pay Pal account one time but closed to due to security concerns (had several phony attempts to get my personal information) and really am not excited about going that route again.
I have some aviation related parts that are basically taking up space in the shop and might be interested in selling off ebay, although I'd probably list them on this site first.
Thanks for any information!

Related to ebay posting above is the "Aeronca Replacement Plate" selling for $19.99 plus shipping and you can buy it from Wag for $7.15 plus shipping. Not to mention it's only for "prewar' Aeroncas anyway.
But who am I to worry if someone wants to make a extra buck or two
?

Re: EBAY
Mike if you can buy you can sell, no Paypal reqiured but with paypal the buyer can pay right away and paypal give him some support if seller does not come through.mikeberg/wi wrote:Forgive me for being 'technilogy challenged' but what's involved with selling stuff on EBAY? Mike from your ebay account you can click on sell and it will take you step by step. You need to plan ahead some:
Look at some listing of items like the ones you plan on selling.
List under the right catagory (parts, engine, pilot supplies or ??
Might need to list in two or more catagories.
You can pick the start time and date this way it will end on the east & west coast in the evening.
Also need a good return policy like (it not happy return for full refund less shipping).
Let me state this, that listing here first is great but you need to have a $$ set for the item, and buyer needs to have a real need for the item.
You may be surprised by what items will sell for on Ebay.
NOW what do you have?? a 'elevator trim tab' my AI needs one

I haven't thought though exactly what I'm going to 'sell'. I have a couple of what I think are oil separators. I say "think" because I've never actually seen one other than in pictures. I also have a rebuilt Garwin vaccum pump off my 0200 engine and some misc. engine parts, etc. Lots of stuff that came with my 0200 engine that the former owner just gave me and I don't really think I'll need.
No trim tab.....though

You might consider Barnstormers also. It's still free, I assume, unless you post pics, then $5. I bought a transponder and a tail wheel assemble from postings on there.mikeberg/wi wrote:Thanks Mike K.
