Travis,

Good to see you on the forum.

I have never seen any but sure wish that they were. Some of us have the original bill of sale or other paperwork that came with the airplane but it does not happen often.

Hope someone else has some additional info.

The factory does give a equipment list as part of the W&B, form ACA 309 Equipment is listed by TC A-759-1 along with Special Equipment if installed a factory.

My Chanp had 1, 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, & 600, no special equipment

see link at aeronca.com below

John Houser has a lot of prewar Aeronca info. You can find your color, optional equipment and detailed information. For the post-war planes, the records are lost. They were putting them out the door so fast that there weren't a lot of options. No variation in paint schemes, just a few things that changed on each plane.

Mine has Grimes nav lights and the logs show a radio as being removed in the early years. I also know it had a wind generator. I don't know if these came from the factory. I have the nav lights and would like to put them back on.

Travis,

Do you have the FAA CD on your Aeronca, it would be nice to check the ACA 309 Form to see if it is listed. Also, might be listed in the other paper work they have.

Factory equipment

I have the CD on the airplane and the log books back to the factory test flight but no equipment list. The best I have to go on is mention of things being removed but is'a all sketchy. I have a 1968 photo showing a wind generator but the wing tips are not visible.

Do you have the 309 form which is part of the first W&B done by the factory.
