Frame Color
Frame Color
Jeff, What color did you use for the steel frame and interior panels and how did you come to that choice? Is there any special treatment to your floor panels or is it simply gloss black paint over plywood? Your rear seat fabric appears to be the same as the front seat fabric in a photo that David posted of Lloyds aircraft. Were you able to purchase seats or covers in that Army look or did someone build those for you? Thanks for the good detail photos and information. Dudley
Dudley,
It was good to talk to you the other day. I hope I was able to answer your questions. For those that still might want to know the answers....
The steel frame was painted in a, "special grey" per Jim & Dondi Miller.
The frame inside the cabin area as well as the interior panels were epoxy primed in special grey then painted with Nevada Silver and flatten to full military specs specified by the Polyfiber bible.
I chose to do the floor in the linex bed liner material. Do I like it?
Ask me later..... It might be harder to clean if dirt gets ground in but hopefully I want have muddy shoes on in my plane!!!
Please feel free to ask any question that you might have. If I don't have an answer for you, I'm sure someone on her will chime in.
