Welcome.........

I had a Champ then a Chief and now I fly a Tri-Traveler......these guys are the best and this site is the best on the web!!

Ask anything, like the told me when I arrived a few years ago..."There are no stupid questions just stupid people. :)


Fingers are faster than my brain!! I was trying to welcome the new guy and somehow posted a new topic.........I'll go back to sleep now!

Anything on the next deployment? Hope you stay in CONUS or at least out of the two way range!

The only thing that's for sure is nothing is for sure!!

Looks like my unit is going to handle a mass redeploy through Ft. Benning in the near future. Not as dangerous as my last deployment. :)

Nate, I know I was there last summer and I saw everything you mentioned.

What you forgot was the freaking heat!!! In July it was like sucking on a hair dryer...........

When I left Oklahoma it was 95 degrees and I felt comfortably warm.........got to Ft. Benning it was 89 degrees and I felt like I was licking the sun.......I started to get use to it then it rained and after the rain I almost suffocated in the humidity........

Other than that my visit was great......of course I won't be getting shot at!

Don't forget, in South Georgia, the mosquito's get big enough to make love to a turkey. I have an Uncle from California. Used to tell us we were soft to complain about 90-94 degrees. Came out here and worked on a farm for a week, he nearly died. Never said a word again. The humidity is killer. David J.

A guy can get used to about anything, but getting shot at is just not OK.
I still carry an entrenching tool in my car, and I know how to use it. My idea of a war zone, (1) dig a hole. (2) climb into it.
Tail winds are a "Good Thing"
