Mold for Fiberglass

Post by jkvincent »

I have a polystyrene mold that I'd like to use to fabricate something in fiberglass,
what would I use to coat the polystyrene to prevent the resin from sticking to the mold?
I'm not sure the resin would even stick to the "plastic".

What do boat builders use for their molds?

I did a Google search, ...Pam cooking spray.
I think I'll give that a try.

I use automotive paste wax. It even smells like the mold release. At work we use a product called Rulon.
