5 Gal Wing Tank

Post by 15A »

Is there anyone out there willing to ship me a 5 gallon wing tank, at my expense, so I can blue-print it and make a left & right set??? It can be dented or torn. I just need enough of it there to reverse engineer. I'll ship it back when I'm done.
They're for my Champ that's going on floats with a C90.
Then I'm going to be looking for the rear fuselage to strut, clamp-on mounts for Edo 1400's. Same scenario.

Thanks!

Amazing. Not one reply.

Paul had sent me a 13 gal tank that I was going to possibly use, but decided 2 5 gal tanks would be lighter and easier to install.

On the other subject, I have found a rear set of Edo 1400 clamp-on mounts that I'm going to duplicate.

I have a left, but it will be going to MN. first. How about the drawings. We could help you that way.

Thanks for the reply Jody!

I wasn't aware prints were available for these tanks. I'm very interested. Where can I get a set of prints?

Sorry Joe,
I don,t have any 5gal wing tanks around. I do have a few gauge castings laying around if someone were to try and make the standard nose tanks.

Thanks anyhow Paul.
You always seem to be there forever lending a hand!

There has to be a tank somewhere between these two puddles...
