Looking to get a sevicable used oil drain plug for my A-65.
I refuse to pay the ransom price they want for a new qickdrain plug.
Maybe someone out there has one lying around their hangar they'd be willing to part with.

Re: Wanted-Oil quick drain plug
Tom,
If yours just leaks (or seeps) a little, you can slide a hose over the outlet and put a plug with a clamp over the bottom of the hose. I've been running mine like that for several years as I never trusted it not to spring a leak at sometime. Makes it handy to drain too without making a mess. Of course that only works if you already have a 'quick drain'.

Re: Wanted-Oil quick drain plug
I do not have a quick drain at all. I have an actual simple plug. I have to change the crush washer each time. I also have to take the lower cowl off in order to change the oil.
I was hoping with a quick drain I could eliminate both by just attaching a hose and twist the quick drain. I just can not get myself, at least not yet, to spend $68 for a quickdrain that I think should be closer to $8. I'm willing to spend 3 or 4 times what makes sense to put on an airplane. But I guess 8 times what I think is reasonable is just too steep for me. (even though I realize that $68 in the grand scheme of things is not a killer. It is the principal of it)
I was hoping someone had one that was used for a more reasonable price. But I may have to break down and pay the kings ransom.
