Chief door windows

Post by 4022E »

Most Chiefs have sliding side windows. I just bought one with fixed panes of plastic that cannot be opened. What parts do I need to scrounge up to have side windows I can open.

Do you have one of the Chief manuals that has the parts manual inside?

Like this one here in the NAA merchandise section:

The parts blowup in there will show you what you need.

Check your email.

Am sending you a scanned copy of the page we are discussing. This will keep you going until you get the real one from the NAA store!

My manual is at the airport. I built my own stiffeners and things. If I get my manual, we can send you the drawings for everything

Jody,

Speaking of airplanes, how is your Chief coming along?

Just curious how made out changing from fixed windows to sliding ones? I just purchased a 1946 11ac with fixed windows as well and want to change them to sliding ones.
I don't have the manual yet could you let me know what parts are needed?

Any chance you could send me those drawings as well? I noticed univair lists the windows but none of the other parts that are required.
