shoulder harnesses

Post by 4022E »

I'm looking for a bracket that attaches the Hooker harnesses in a Chief that someone has not installed yet to copy and make drawings of as Hooker is no longer supplying this part. If drawings can be obtained from an existing unit Hooker will consider supplying them again. I'm willing to leave a deposit until this part is returned to you.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I have just sent an email to Hooker this morning inquiring about shoulder harnesses for my Chief as i would really like to install some.

Yes I did. I made one that clamps on in a similar fashion. Requires only a logbook entry. Does not require the removal of the headliner. Of course, replacement of the lap belts and installation of the shoulder harnesses should be looked over by your I.A. I have the jig for this and can send pics if you email me on my regular address. Another fellow in Wisconsin has one made from this jig. Very easy to install but very difficult to safety wire the cap head screws but between the two of us we've learned some tricks to make it happen. Cost was about fifty dollars. (that's the cost of parts, I'm not "selling" these) What I do is tack the parts and send them to you. Then you have your professional welder finish them, sandblast, paint and install. Hooker Harnesses were about $330.00.
