Almost finished

Post by texasav8r »

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I am 99.8 % finished with my champ restoration. I am looking for the trim and throttle placards. If anyone has a set they would be willing to part with please let me know. I'm also looking for a landing gear axle, but not in any hurry. Thank you. (7AC)

John,
I have a set of 'stick on' type placards. Not sure where they came from but you're welcome to them if you can use them. Also, has the nose up and down placard. They look nice but kind of flimsy. I can drop them in the mail or I'm coming through Waco in a couple of weeks on my way to San Antonio if you'd care to meet and I can give them to you. The original ones were a embrossed metal plate. I had to make new throttle plate covers from aluminum for my L16 and then reriveted the plates on.

Thank you so much, Mike. I think I have located some original ones close to Austin. I am waiting on a call from him to find out if he has them. I appreciate the offer and I'll keep you posted. If he doesn't have them I would like to take you up on your offer.

Were the stick-ons intended to be applied to the old faded-beyond legibility ones?
Thanx
