Unidentified cowling???

Post by CptKelly »

There is a cowling now on Ebay, ( auction # 180458468482). I an unsure of what it fits, take a look, and let us know what you think.
Might be for a prewar Aeronca. Also might be for a J2 Cub???

It looks a little J-2'ish. The post mounting looks correct for the cub with a 40 Continental.

That's what I thought, the J2 has the concave shape behind the cylinders, or maybe an E2 Taylor Cub. Certainly for a tandem airplane so it's not for a Chief. Bargain for someone who knows.
