Chris,
Once you are "in country", if you need anything, let us know. I assume you got APO. Maybe home made cookies or something like that.

Gentlemen, I think we can stop with the donations. If everyone who has posted a response comes through with the amount they promised, I believe we have enough. I ordered 2 Goodyear 700-6 6 ply GSS Flight Special II tires and 2 TU 700 - 6 AL tubes. Go to the FedEx website and follow tracking number 064687510402401 which estimates Joe will have his rubbers by Feb. 5th.
I talked to him today and he is overwhelmed by the support of the Aeronca community. I told him he should buy the first round at the fly in and after he thought about it a while, he figured it would be cheaper to just buy the tires himself! Too late Joe, the tires are on their way and I'm pretty thirsty.
I have enjoyed the website with its information and comraderie and I know that if maintaining the website were up to me, all would be lost. I was amazed, but not surprised by the immediate rush to help someone who has helped so many.
Joe has promised to post some pictures of his new treasures once they are bolted to the airframe. Gentlemen, I cannot thank you enough! Now, please don't stiff me with the checks!

You guys did it!
Fedex records show the tubes and tires were delivered to Joe's house at 9:35 this morning Phoenix time. You guys are the greatest!

Did you get my faxed copy of the thousand dollar bill..................Just kidding of course I'm sure the guys will/have already sent you $$
Re: It's Time to Help Joe A.!!!!!
Well everyone, I am officially floored by this!
Had absolutely no idea that Brian was going to do this but when he told me that this was "hatched" after a couple of adult beverages it was not a surprise!
The tires arrived today and will get them out to the hangar this weekend (if it is not raining and its forcast to rain until Monday) and see how they look on the wheels!
Thanks again and really appreciate this. Unemployment is not fun but this sure helps getting the Sedan back up in the air!

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the very long delay but have been flying... a lot. That in itself is good as I am still not working full time and doing contract flying.
Had a couple of days off this week and spent it putting the new Goodyear Tires that everyone chipped in for me and the Sedan. The cell phone photos did not turn out the best but everyone going to Middletown will hopefully see them in a few days.
Will post pics of them when I get a real camera in my hand!
Thanks again everyone and once again could not have done it without your help!
