I know this aircraft and this is a hell of a good deal!

The engine had some problems and started making metal I believe.

Nothing wrong with the airplane, it was flown up there and was supposed to be going to Alaska where Gregg lives but once the engine started having issues it was parked and not flown since.

Someone needs to go up there, yank the engine, overhaul it or come there with a 90 or 100 hp engine and fly it home.

We have photos for anyone interested.

Chris,

Make a deal with Gregg and someone will help you overhaul the engine, then put it back on and fly it home.

Bet he might even take payments... from someone he knows and a list member.

Copy that I'll email you on Tuesday I really might be intrested it there is no problems with it besides the engine and it looks like a good plane still would want to see it in person before a major decision would be made. But I do fancy the idea of the 7FC.

The owner is a long time friend of many of us here on the forum, as well is a current FAA guy. He will tell you the truth about the airplane, warts and all.

Are there other Engines with an STC that I could put on this plane for example O-200, O-235, or even an O-290? or would I have to get a 337 for those?
