Re: I voted.
I drove down to west Texas yesterday to pick up three drums of 100W. I got up this morning at 4am in Abilene to drive back just to be here in time to vote. Get ur done!

Me too......throw the bums out. I think when I was running a shop many years ago if I had a mechanic working for me with a 18% approval rating, he/she probably wasn't working for me very long.

Re: I voted.
I've voted since I was old enough. It's a right that I have. Yet, you are finding more people that don't, I assume from despair. Your vote does make a difference. The people that tell you different are wrong. And if this country gets too far out of control you are required to defend it, from all enemies foreign OR domestic.
That reminds me, I need to buy ammo.

Voted on the way to the airport for the AZBAA meeting.
If you do not vote, you cannot complain.
This time its for major change. Neither side needs to control the entire govt and ram things down our throat like has happened. Hope that the conservatives learn from this and make changes.

I still feel dirty after voting in our (Georgia's) race for Governor. I hope I chose the lesser of two weasels.Nathan K. Hammond wrote:Ya damn right I did! Feels good too.

Otherwise, the national picture is going about as expected. The big question is whether the newly elected folks will immediately fall into the trap(s) so many politicians have fallen into in recent years. We really need some people to grow a backbone and do what's best for the country, not what's best for whoever they feel beholden to...

We had several uncontested local positions on the ballet (which I don't understand why they were uncontested); so I gave a write-in.kyleb wrote:I hope I chose the lesser of two weasels.
Damn, wouldn't you know, I only got one vote.

You better be careful there! I just got voted into the board on my HOA here in town and part of it was doing silly things like that!Nathan K. Re: I voted.
Voting in Illinois is discouraging because you have to compete with those that vote early, often, and from the great beyond. The voters in Illinois (and by that I mean Cook county) have chosen to keep Blagojevich light.™
