Engine Mounts
I,m going to send a 7FC engine mount out for repair. The two companies I,m considering are Kosola or Wag-Aero. Has anyone used either of these companies for a mount repair? Are there any other people doing repairs?
Thanks Paul
Thanks Paul

We sent the engine mount for one 7AC to Wag Aero and came back inspected, painted and yellow tagged (didn't require any repair). It seems the price was around $75.00. They also have a fixed price for repair and inspection (up to so many tube replacements). I can't lay my hands on my catalog so can't give you the posted price right now.
Can't speak for the welded "Y" pipe problem that Nathan had with them, but I've had good luck with their products.......so far.

Thanks for all the replys.
I just spoke with James at Kosola and it looks like they are going to get my business. Depending on the amount of work it will range from 150 up to 500 dollars. They will evaluate the mount and have a firm repair quote prior to repair. If it was not economical to repair they would return it, for a small fee(or no charge, depending on time involved to inspect.) This mount requires at least 3 tubes to be replaced. Depending on the cost it might be changed.
I also called AWI and they do not repair the small non-complex mounts. They told me that for their repair costs it was cheaper to replace.
Wag Aero shows about 250 to repair and 500 to replace. Personally I would rather not use Wag Aero. I have never been satisfied with them.
Thanks again Paul

Nate,
Totally agree and probably am guilty as charged, course I am in Switzerland right now and these people drink like there is no tomorrow!
Mike,
The pot calling the kettle black I see! Heading to Jeddah tonight where I cannot drink for 4 days... oh well. Then on to Bangkok for an overnight and on to Brunei and Hong Kong.
Hope you guys get your engine mounts and rubbers sorted out!
