Hi,
I would like to buy a pair of wheels pants and / or hardware, for installation, on my 7AC-CONV / 7CCM. Must be in good condition, but paint is not an issue, as I will re-paint.
Regards, Robert

Re: WHEEL PANTS WANTED
Don't now if you are looking for the metal pants or fiberglass pant set. The metal ones are getting hard to find and fetch top dollar.I opted for the fiberglass pants from Aircraft Spruce and the bracket set from Wag Aero. The pants were $225 with shipping from their last sale. The brackets from Wag were $110 a couple months back. For the price I jumped on them and they look great!
Re: WHEEL PANTS WANTED
Hi,
Thank you for the information. I looked through Aircraft Spruce and could not find a set of wheel fairings that are listed as FAA approved. I will call them though. Wag Aero has them listed for $380.00 but a guy told me that they were Rough Fiberglass and that I would have to sand them a lot before priming and painting. I think the full hardware set for both wheels was about $150.00. I will give Spruce a call today.
Thanks Again - Robert

Robert,
You see them from time to time on Ebay. Thats where I bought a set years ago for my Chief.

Re: WHEEL PANTS WANTED
For now, I would settle for a set of the solid Dust Seal Covers with the tapped center hole that allows that use of a single bolt Hub Cap. My dust seal covers are open rings with just the three screw holes around the outside. My wheels do not have taped holes in the rim area where a three screw hubcap would work and I am afraid to try to drill out my wheels.
Thanks - Robert

Re: WHEEL PANTS WANTED
Doug at Luscombe Foundation has some of these covers. Might check with him.
Re: WHEEL PANTS WANTED
Thanks for all the input.
I got the Dust Seal Cover / Hub Cap Adapters and a Set of AERONCA Embossed hub caps from Don Jones in Guam. $39.00 each for the seals/adpaters and $44.00 for the pair of Hub Caps. Guam is a U.S. possession with a US zip code. The freight only came to about $8.00.
Through my post, I get a set of Wheel Fairings and Fittings from Michigan.
The only thing I am now looking for is a new 6" Cheveland Wheel. I have one wheel on my Champ that is original and though it works there is the 100 hr AD for the rim crack inspection. My other wheel was added with a field approval and is a 6" Cleveland, apparently from a later model - 7EC I think. That one does not have the AD. I would like to find one more of these if anyone knows of one available, please let me know.
