Anyone in the Fayetteville, NC-Ft. Bragg area?

Post by WWhunter »

I'm in the Ft.Bragg area for a week and was wondering if there are any members close to this area. I guess just a meet and greet and maybe look at some planes.
My daughter is stationed here and getting deployed to Aphganistan so we stopped here to see her off before we report to our new duty station. (DC area-yuck).
So if anyone know of a nice little airport or any Champ owners in the area I sure would aprreciate it.

Keith,
Don't forget about visiting our place. Gail's Champ is now being fitted with a new hot-rod engine at Don Sword's place. I should be able to pick it up later on this week, but anyway, we still have the Smith Kit Supercub, and the Cessna 182. Hope you have a good time visiting your daughter.

Take Care,

Mike

Mike,

Not sure if I will be able to make it down your way at this time. Just found out the in-laws are driving up from Florida to see their grandaughter also. They will be here til she leaves also. :( Guess I may have to stay around and visit.
I was hoping to make it down there in the next couple of days but I guess they are showing up sometime today.

I will definitely be by sometime...just not sure when.

Well I just found out that Uncle Sam has decided we are headed to Fort Bragg. Now I just need to sell my house in Oklahoma and scrounge up the remaining cash to take the Tri-Champ with me.

Bring it on Chris. We got plenty of grass strips around the Fayetteville area (Greys Creek, St. Pauls, Parkton, Raeford) Aint seen no Tri Champs around but several other Champs in the area.

Keeping up with the "more things change the more the stay the same" mentality now Uncle Sam tells me I'm not going to Ft. Bragg. Back to the roulette wheel of assignments. ???????????

All you Ft. Bragg area folks need to plan on heading east to 4W9 on Oct. 1. Pink Hill Flying Club is going to have a pig pickin and fly-in. Supposed to have a flour bombing contest and a spot landing contest.
