7aca trim moving?
I need help! I have a champ 7aca and i set the trim and 3min later i havet to set it agane. the nose keeps geting liter so i trim it down and 3min later the trim is off agane. is there some thing to set more tension on the trim lever? oh and this is the 1971 bellanca 7aca champ so the trim in on the left side of the cockpit like the citabria. this plane is 95% aeronca and 5% citabria. and its the 5% thats a son of a gun. thanks Bob
Re: 7aca trim moving?
Well I can't attest to the 7ACA model in details but the straight 7AC has a knob located in the overhead ceiling above the front seat (hidden by the zipper) which allows tension to be adjusted to the trim lever. However doesn't the 7ACA have trim located on the side wall?? Or is that the later 7EC's.
I am sure there is a way to adjust the tensions some how.

Bob,
The Citabrias' throttle and carb. heat had leather friction washers on the bolt at the pivot point. Maybe the trim is the same.
