7AC door latch

Post by PB Schafer »

Is there such a thing as a striker plate on the 7AC door? My door post has 4 holes around the cutout where the door latch goes, but I haven't found anything that looks like it should go there. Is there a drawing for it on the DVD? Thanks.

Aha! :D Thank you so much. I may have to fab something like it, as someone has drilled four holes in the jamb, and I am not sure if that one with two holes will fit. Is this a stock part, and where can it be found?

Sorry, PB,

I just sent a photo of a 7AC that shows the striker plate. I assume it is an Aeronca original part, but I don't know that for sure. I have no idea where one might be found.
