Osama's death?

While I'm personally tickled pink that Osama is no longer among the living, I'm a bit surprised as to how it happened, AND the initial lies told in regard to the raid. Considering the intelligence that could have been gleaned from him, I'm shocked that they elected to take him out when he wasn't even armed. This seems to me that this raid was deliberately designed as a hit, rather than a capture. Typical to our current administration, there is much more to this story that we are not being told.

It had to be a hit or at least appear to be one. If the world thought we were holding him captive, how many Americans, as well as other allies, might be taken hostage for possilble exhange. Then beheaded with a machete on You Tube if we didn't give him back. Yes there is lots our Government isn't telling us but that is always the case in all issues. I just fear that the decision to not release his death photos is seen as a sign that we are still cower in fear of Al Queda and the rest of their ilk and don't want to upset them. I don't think they need any additional motivation.

I for one agree with the decision not to show the photos. Now Osama can keep appearing from time to time as Elvis does.
I don't ever want as much adrenelin in my veins as those commandos must have had. If ever there was a shoot first situation that was it.
If he had been taken alive, it would still be best to show no photos and give somebody a respectful burial at sea.
I have great respect for Obama's patience, and willingness to strike when he got the chance. A whole lot could have gone terribly wrong on such a mission, and he would have been blamed for all of it.

The photos will come out eventually. Show the things and prove that he is gone.

I was sitting in the cockpit of a jet in NYC getting ready to take off when the planes hit the WTC. Sad that he had to hide behind his wife and did not die a slow painful death like so many who jumped or were burned to death in the twin towers. He has no sympathy from me what so ever, especially after living in a mansion the last 5 years while telling everyone he was in a cave somewhere.

I understand how people feel, and have no simpathy for him either.
He got to live with servants and a young wife, not allowed out of the house, to take care of his every need.

At my age that would be torture.

Took my wife to breakfast this morning. The waitress asked, in light of mother's day, what my wife's favorite flower is. I told her it was Pillsbury, self rising.

Now she will not talk to me and I don't know why?

I thought it appropriate that the last thing in this life that he saw was an U.S. troop, looking at him through a gun sight. I never got to do anything that exciting when I was in.

Yesterday I received a great cellphone ringphone from a friend. It starts off with the Arabic call to prayer, followed by two gunshots and then the first bars of the Star Spangled Banner.

Unfortunately I missed the interview. I was out flying and didn't land until sunset. Was hoping to get home and the plane in the hangar before the show started but you know how it is when the weather is nice, sky is clear, and calm winds......the ultimate time to go for a plane ride.

I have a feeling the poor guy is going to get raked over the coals by our illustrious government. They can screw up and give out classified info and little is done about it. Yet, let a military guy say anything that some elected official can't take credit for, then all hell breaks lose.

I believe the author, when he joined the Seals, had to sign an agreement that he would not talk about missions and information that might jeprodize the U.S.A. or future missions. I signed one of these in the Air Force in order to get a Top Secret clearance. It stated that if you spoke or wrote of classified materials that you handled or were involved in, you were subject to imprisionment. Then they told you this verbally. I would think the author was subject to this as the Seals do alot of clandestine type work. Does this ring a bell with any former service people who had a clearance?JP
