I think everyone understands what's going on. That's why you see 5 pages of this un-bagged Bandini. Why don't we move on to something remotely aviation related. This type of rhetoric has a place, just not here.

Re: Why is our country bankrupt
thank you for your post. you used a factual and commonsense explanation to our countrys problem, and I agree with you. but it goes in one ear and out the other with our liberal, progressive friends, and the deadbeats who survive and even thrive on the welfare society. the only hope is to get out and vote them out at every chance we have. we started last year , lets keep it up until we get the U.S. back ! thanks

Taxes today are 15 percent of GDP, the lowest since the 40's. As for the Israel- Palestinian situation may I suggest some basic reading (which may settle your stomach.) Its called "The Israel Lobby" by John Mearsheimer . Written in 2006, it gives a good history! Being FACTUAL is Soooo important! JP

JC,
Seems our economy is on track for our history; Panic of 1819, Great Depression 1929 and of course the storm we are sailing through now. Would it not be amazing if we could teach our next rising generations about economy cycles! We seem to forget!!!
As for our involvement in other countries, Einstein and Oppenheimer warned used about our role in humanity after we dropped the nuclear bomb.
As for the world coming to an end, read the poetical teachings of Ecclesiastes.
From an aviation and medical standpoint, Germany was the leader in technology! It took mass production and three nations to defeat their scientist!!!

JC I had a political Robo call today, May 24, 2011. It is a long time to November 2012. Washington is screwed up , most people know that, no need to preach to the choir, so let us leave it at that. Use our ONE vote each to hopefully make changes and let the issues rest. In two weeks I'll be 77--I haven't missed much. This is an airplane forum. Not a soap box. Thank you for you consideration.

Amen!
Doug (Grumps) I'll be 72 in July....if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself (or so it goes). Since I retired from teaching at the local community college I've been driving school bus part time. I was considering 'full retirement' at the end of this school year but the transportation director asked me if I would be available again next year to 'help out' again and I love the kids. Last night I got home from a track meet at 11:30 pm. My wife says the word "NO" is not in my vocabulary but I need to finish this L16 before I get too old (when is that??).
