Just want to let everyone know that an Ebay seller isn't up to snuff.
I bid on and won a C85 standard piston from this seller and they refused to send or even communicate with me. Ebay refunded my money so there is no loss but this seller should be avoided.
They list as, plasticpilotstuff and are located in Gilbert AZ. They also claim that 10% will go to the Luscombe Endowment Inc. Maybe they should know ( if they don't already) that these snake oil salesment are ruining their reputation, such as it is.

Paul;
Sounds like that pre-war chief, that was offered on E-Bay several years ago in California. They kicked the guys off E-Bay.
Thanks for heads up.

Paul,
It seems, for the most part among the aviation sellers, that they are a little more honest that the group as a whole. Having said that, I was screwed by a guy in Calif on "Champ wheels". Only one was a Champ wheel. The other one was eat up with Corrosion. The other guy was out of Dallas area. He sold me a Century controll that was locked up and would not turn. He would only return my money if I gave his a good rating first. Apparently he had experience with returns.
I have only been burned twice. Oh well, I guess it is buyer beware.

Re: Ebay warning
Dennis,
I've got a pretty good idea who was behind this.
This is the first problem I had and it all could have been worked out. The item was listed with a buy it now price that, including shipping, was pretty near retail. I put a bid that was 1/3 retail and forgot about it. The seller specified no reserve price and I ended up winning it. I believe this was an error on the sellers part. I need 4 pistons so we could have worked something out to ease everyones pain. But they just refused to communicate with me.

Re: Ebay warning
Joe,
I got it finally straightened out. It wasn't until ebay took action that they contacted me. They were real sorry for the mix up and offered me another chance at the item for the same price. Being the sucker I am I gave them another chance. I thought I was buying a new C85 piston but was sent a new A65 piston. I can use both but it's just the idea of the whole thing. I hope it was a honest mistake, but I won't be doing any business with them.
