Rans Courier
Has anyone flown one? I have researched it quite a bit and it seems like a pretty nice taildragger with a 100 HP ROTAX which an AI I know says is a really fine engine if maintained correctly. The Maryland distributor for the kit says it will perform with a super cub and a lot more fun to fly. this might be something mike could get interested in? The local distributor is flying one to the Florida keys for Christmas , says its a great flyer, cruises at 110 and very light on the controls. Dealer in Wisconsin has a factory demo for sale. Merry Christmas too all! JP

Check out this little video from a local Ohio guy who loves his Rans...man.

Re: Rans Courier
Thanks for the video link Brian, it was fantastic!!!!
JP the 912 Rotax is a work of art and a real solid engine. I've only heard one bad experience and that engine was a rebuild with about fifty hours on it. Two holes in the crankcase and a piece of e piston skirt stuck in the gear train brought the engine to a stop at altitude. Pilot dead stick landed the Capella in a bean field. It suffered only a broken nose gear and one of the three prop blades.

Re: Rans Courier
There is a Rans-specific site that can answer all your questions called RansClan. If you google them, you can come up with a web address - I'm not posting it as I'm not sure Forum rules allow me to suggest a "competing" site - although different airplanes entirely.
I've flow back seat in one and love them. Have had many sleepless nights deciding between an 85/90hp Champ or the S-7 (or even S-6 taildragger).
