Go Pro Camera Strut Mount

Post by rkittine »

Anyone know of an Off The Shelf mount available that can mount a GoPro on the forward strut? I have friends that have fabricated some and have talked to GoPro but their Roll Bar mount is the biggest they have and it does not seem to have a wide enough opening to work on the strut. Was hoping not to have to make one.

Thanks - Bob

I've used a RAM Mount shaped like a "V" with a hose clamp. It was a mount ACSpruce sold to use on a Beachcraft yoke. Worked like a champ!

Thanks Bob, I am a good friend of Glenn's and have seen his mount, which is also shown on www.SeaplaneForum.com where there is a lot of Ski Flying in the off season. I was hoping to find something off the shelf and may have found a few now, but they are expensive. The one that looks the best is $130.00. The camera and accessories were only $400. I have a number of Ram mounts that I could modify, but I would like something I can move easily from plane to plane too. Bob
