Well, I finally "slipped the surley bonds of earth" this afternoon. I waited 'til late afternoon, and a bit of atmospheric cooling so the density altitude here was down to 9,400'. After 4 years of restoration, the Champ performed flawlessly, and the pilot (me) did pretty well too! Sure felt good! A special thanks to those on this forum who offered help and ecouragement. I would post pics but still haven't figured out how to do that here.
