Hi Sonny

My bird is Serial #17-71

Interested in doing wheel alignment, ACA is telling me they have shims for toe-in out only and gear leg itself is the camber. And they have no gear leg replacements except fot $5200 aluminum legs??? And they would require some modifications at fuselage attachment points. They said they could not give me gear leg drawings to send along with my legs to Gear Leg re-forming Co. ( The Landing Gear Works), so they can; reform, heat treat and shot peen, because someone might re-produce the parts????????? I think I can bring wheel camber back with camber shims? But do Cessnas fit? or Grove? or ?

ACA told me the Franklin powered 7ACA did not have a mixture control??? I'm looking at the TSDS for that engine and see:
"7. Carburetion
The Franklin 2A-120-C1 engine is equipped with Carburetion Marvel Schebler MA-3A float type with manual correction of mixture."

??? Anyone know the truth here. The installation I have is a C-85 with a Stromberg carb with the mixture control wired full rich. I plan on installing a MS carb with mixture ASAP. And need approved data for cable installation.

The Marvel carb should have provision for mixture control. The manufacturer may have chosen not to install it. ACA wouldn't have any information on the plane as they didn't build it, just like the wood spar wings, they never made any of those either.
The TCDS gives you the approval for installation of the mixture control item 117(h), and when installed using Champion drawing 7-1445 it grants installation approval. All of these documents cover your a$$, log book entry only.

Both the NAA and Cy Galley have been very helpful in preserving these drawings and giving them to the owners in need. They should be able to help you. This drawing being a Champion drawing means it's a pretty late around 1954. If need be you might try ACA for the drawing.
