Got a (somewhat) ok Prewar Aileron and one that's homemade. The homemade one looks pretty good, but for some reason or another they used .050 for the whole thing. It weighs about as much as a freight train. They even made the leading edge out of .050 Im not sure what possessed them to do such a thing, but they must have thought if .025 was good .050 had to be better. Short of making a new one, I thought I would check if anyone out there in Aeroncaland knows where I could find a prewar Chief (65C/65LB/65CA/65LA) Aileron. I really only need one but I would buy both if thats the way it is. The other one I have is stock and just needs a new leading edge because of course its beat to hell. Let me know if you have a lead on one, I need it yesterday. Thanks

Don't know if you found an aileron or not, but looks like what you need is on Barnstormers under "Aeronca"

The only thing on Barnstormers is a post war 7ac/11ac aileron and an aileron for a 41 TAC. If you found another please let me know.
Thanks
Jim
