Does anybody know of a source for the wing tip brackets to mount the Grimes model A lights? I believe the number is 1-264. The usual sources don't seem to carry them.
Thanks.

I have a pair of steel ones for the J-3, and I would trade them in a heartbeat for a serviceable pair of screw- in ignition wire plates for the Bendix S-4 magneto.

Bob,
I accept the challenge! Only I don't actually own a pair of them, I know people that might. I will have a look around. I am not exactly sure what you need. Can you send a link to what you are looking for? Or, I found these on ebay, 171416955067 that have what I think you are after. I will certainly do my best to find a set for you.

Ebay is too expensive. Just check with your local mechanics - they should give them to you. Do not spend big bucks.
It is the plate that fits the back of the S-4 Bendix mags, and is identifiable by the four screw-in things and the rubber gasket that has four tits. I will dig out the parts tonight.
Ebayers are selling 8-32 fillister head screws for $12 each! Yow!

No, I am not spending big bucks, I just wanted to know if the plates on that auction were the correct parts. I know 3 guys with piles of magneto parts. I just have to go dig till I find what you need.

Somebody dropped a plate into my flight bag the other day. Now all I need are the wire fittings - they come with those ugly plug wires that we all used to use - brass elbows and nuts. I know i have a pile of them somewhere, but cannot find them. Did you get the wingtip deals?
