Re: LSA Champ for sale
You can't as far as I have been able to determine. I have had it happen because I hit the submit button and instead of waiting, I thought it didn't take and I clicked it again and sometimes again. I usually watch the twirling circle in the open tab to know I'm waiting on the server to catch up and refresh my page.
Good to hear you sold your Champ. Sad to hear you sold your Champ. Who is the new owner(s)?

Re: LSA Champ for sale
I'm restoring an L-16A and installing a C85-12F. I would like to know more about the starter/ jump start system used on this champ. Right now I have the gen and starter holes capped because it was going to be such a pain to install an electrical system with all the cost and paper work. Thanks for the help.

Bill,
For whatever it's worth, I used the Sky-Tec (short) starter and have approval to use the B & C 12 amp alternator on a 337. Mine happened to have the short mount but if you have the long mount there's plenty of room as the old Delco starter and generator was much longer. I have a 25 amp Concord battery mounted behind the rear seat or the same location as the 7EC which is what I used for my model when I filed the paperwork. Cost (of course) is another consideration
.

Re: LSA Champ for sale
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info. Right now i'm so deep in cost I need to cut out some extra stuff. Just installing a short starter with a temporary battery seemed appealing. Richard helped me to find the original owner and he explained that the starter and push switch wiring is by STC and the battery can be easily removed. I'm several months away from assembly so right now i'm just gathering information. Blue skys and safe flying to you and the Aeronca guys.

Bill,
Understood regarding the cost. I've come to the conclusion that whatever you figure it's going to cost: double it and same for the time involved. At least my last two came out like that.
