I need a part. It is usually referred to as "Oil Gauge and Cap Assembly" for an oil sump.
All I need is the cap for the oil dipstick for a C-85-12.
I plan to modify it as part of a dehydrator unit to introduce a flow of dry air during down times to minimize humidity and reduce corrosion.
I plan to attend the reunion in Middletown, OH starting on June 15th so if you will be there, bring it with you.

That cap is pretty universal and the dipstick attached to it was what was model specific. I am coming to Middletown and might well have an extra cap laying around.

Dick,
Those little caps can be a little tough to find. I would use a hose and just clamp it to the oil neck.

Actually, the cap itself was automotive standard for a half century. Any 1950s gas cap will fit the oil neck. The Continental part corrodes over time, so I make the steel "ears" when necessary. Haven't seen my steel die for a decade or so.
