Does anyone have a winterization plate for a 7EC Champ for sale. I am looking for a metal plate that attaches over the hole in the cowling just under the propeller to restrict air flow into the engine compartment in cold weather to keep oil temperature warm in winter flying. I am willing to pay someone to make one or if someone has plans to manufacturing one.

The drawing you need to fabricate a plate is 3-640.
I have sent it to your email address.
An old A+P or any sheet metal shop can fabricate this.

Re: Winter Cover Plate
Chuck-
You might also want to look at this item Univair offers.

It is for a Champion, but they held the type certificate for the 7 series Aeroncas until they sold it to Bellanca
