Fuel Shut-off Valve

Does anyone have any recommendations on replacement of the fuel shutoff valve for the Chief? I think the original is an Imperial Valve, but I find virtully no reference to them anywhere online.

Any experience with other valves? STC'ed? PMA'ed? Field approval?

Suggestions? Rebuild old valve? Is there a kit of any kind?

Replacement - none that I know of
There are a few working on STC for replacement
No kit I know of
You can rework the valve with not to much work. Usually all it needs is to clean it up, lap the cone for a good fit, then check stem seal,some fuel grease.

On barnstormers someone sell a overhaul kit for $5.00 which is just the grease that holds up to the fuel.

Why do you think it needs to be fixed? To hard to turn on /off , leaks when turned off, fuel stain at valve stem, all can be fixed by cleaning,lapping the grease.

Most of the time, they just need to be taken apart, cleaned up, lapped in again and reassembled using fuel lube to lubricate.
