Aeroncas at Airventure 2006

Post by jackshulerdds »

How do we go about getting a row of AERONCAS at OSH this year?

I last flew there in 2003 in my l978 Varga Kachina, and was so bent out of shape that they would not let me park over near the "red barn" that I sold it and bought a l946 7AC Champ. Best move I ever made, especially since I am now retired. Now, CAN WE RESERVE A "Row??"
Any ideas? I am a member of the Vintage Aircraft Association, and I wrote them, but have heard nary a word.
Best to all

Jack, the NAA got 2 rows reserved (18 places) last year. They are trying to rotate groups and I was told last year, we may not get reserved this year. I requested 18 again, but will take what we can get. I am still trying to get an answer out of them. I will keep everyone posted.

I'm thinking I might fly my Champ to OSH this year if things work out. I've never missed, but only flew in twice. Only about 200 miles for me. Also, hoping to fly to Jody's flyin at Kewanee in May. Seems like (1) some family conflict always comes up and (2) not much of a camper (been there and done that) which always holds me back. But I'm hoping............ .

I haven't been too good at providing good wx for you Ohio guys. I'll try to do better this year, Mike. If you run into Jim Hammond, see if he wants to fly down.
