El Reno Aviation sells it if you want it from an aviation supplier. But like joe said, any store that carries sewing stuff will have it; Jo-Anns, Michaels, ___Mart, etc...

A cheap source...The mechanic who totally rebuilt my 0-200 (I put a C-90 cam in it) uses silk thread which is used to sew wedding dresses...He used to own Alberta Aero Engine in Edmonton..and still does engines for them and formerly for WesTech, Okanagan Engines...So he knows what he is talking about..

Hope that you know that you are asking a lot here! Last time I got close to a wedding dress it cost me more than my Aeronca ! :)

Good to know and always good to have more sources for airplane stuff!
