My New Airplane - Only 60 Years-Old

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know I found and bought a beautiful 7DC Champ in Redding, CA, thanks to Bernie Nowlen who tipped me off before it was advertised. My partner just flew it home last week and it only took two hours instead of 20 states.

I listened to your advice - it has no electric, a C85-12, and one 5-gallon wing tank. Empty weight is 843 lbs. It was recovered in 1997 and my AI called it a "cream-puff" after the pre-purchase inspection. The previous owner maintained it at the highest standard and his attention to detail was exceptional.

I'm chomping at the bit to fly it. Of course, Murphy is controlling the weather here - it snowed today. I feel the need for...low & slow!

Thanks for your help in getting me to this point.

Jim,
Sounds like you got a great plane. In my opinion this is the best set-up for a Champ. Put it to good use.
