Fuel shut off valve

Post by Ted Karver »

I have a 7EC with two 13 gallon wing tanks and a fuel shut off valve that takes great force to move it. Any way to free it up? Need new one? If so, where to buy?

P.S. Your advice on the hooker shoulder harness was perfect. They installed easily and feel great! Thanx

Fuel Valve / Lube

Post by Mnflyer »

Hi Ted, you can remove the valve clean it up and relube it with a fuel resistant lube. Wicks has it here is a link, I'm sure Aircraft Spruce and other will have it also.

You can use fine scotch brite to clean and polish the valve and then lube it and it should work nice.

Hey Minnesota,

That was a great suggestion for the stiff shut off valve. We did just as you advised. The valve works perfectly!

Thanx,

Ted
