Middletown Motels
Middletown Motels
I see a number of you are planning to stay at the Ramada. What is the Super 8 like in Middletown? or anything else for that matter. Nothing wrong with the Ramada either other than the price is more than I usually pay being a little on the cheap side.
I'm planning on making it this year. Not sure if I'll be flying or driving. We have our own fly in the following weekend which takes a lot of prep and time on my part so I can't get hung up in weather either.
Thanks,
Mike Berg

Mike,
I do not live there so cannot comment directly but from my poor and feeble memory, do not feel that any of the hotels are that different from the others there. The one reason why many of the guys are going to the Ramada is that I believe that they have a restaurant and bar there.
I just need a bed, shower and bathroom and am going to be spending most of my time at the airport, so just about any place will do for me. After all, its only 3-4 days and am concentrating on Aeronca's and the people flying them.

Hey guys. The board of directors had our meeting last night (by telephone) and we talked at length with Keith Wyman, who lives in Middletown.
He said that the Best Western was the best of the lot and we have a good rate there. Evidently the Ramada does have food there but its gotten pretty run down recently.
I am staying at the Fairfield but thats because I have loads of Marriott points and can use the points for the hotel.
Just thought I would pass this along.
