Aux Wing Tank Fuel Vent (5.5Gal)

Guys, I discovered something the other day. Maybe I am a little slow. Lots of folks have fuel feeding problems. Lloyd Thompson has an original tank as well as a later tank made by someone other than Aeronca. The cap, I believe, is supposed to be non-vented. The attached photo shows the original Aeronca tank. It has a 45 degree bevel facing into the wind. Might help to slightly pressurize the tank and keep fuel flowing. The non original tank is cut at a 90 degree angle. Very interesting....David J.
