I’m in need of 2 glove box doors for my 1946 11AC restoration project.
Tried Univair with no luck.
Anyone have an idea of where I can purchase them?

The doors are not being reproduced that I know of. Your only sources are list such as this and auction sites. This is one of the more difficult items to locate.
Some people have added equipment to the glove box area and discarded or modified the doors. I have seen some tasteful additions that made the missing doors less noticeable.

Buzz Wagoner, who I understand recently passed on, had fiberglass glove box doors in his catalog. I bought a fiberglass instrument panel from him and got the impression he sub'd out the fiberglass work. The panel was well done.
I also saw a post in this forum that Buzz's Business was being sold. You might also be able to make a mold and lay it up yourself.

glove box doors
I have a glove box door, but hesitate to sell it as I might at some time
in the future want it to fill a spot that now has a hand held radio in it.
I have thoughts of a 0 200 replacement for the old 85 hp 12 F and in that
case would have need for the door. If someone would like to borrow
my door and have a copy made that would work. Dont know the ins
and outs of a copy, but there is always fiberglass if your tricky with it.
a fab shop could probably build one with an old one to go by. I came by some old parts when I purchased my 48 Chief and have a generator
and starter "cable pull type" and might just need them in the event the
0 200 is something in my future. The weight of the 0 200 is almost the
same as the cont. 85hp however I dont know where STC's and 337's
lie for this up grade. Am sure if I look I will find out where to go for
them. I am not sure that the starter and generator off the old 85 hp will
work on a 0 200, but have the things in that event. I am happy with the new starter on the 85 hp cont and it really does a beautiful job. if anyone wants to borow my glove box door to
copy, they are welcome to do so.

If what your are referring to as a cable pull type starter is a McDowell starter those are rare and have sold for upwards of $600.I came by some old parts when I purchased my 48 Chief and have a generator and starter "cable pull type" and might just need them in the event the 0 200 is something in my future.
The STC for the 0-200 is/was held by Buzz Wagoner and includes electric start.
The original 11BC/11CC Chiefs had C-85-8 engines which had no provision to mount an electric starter.

They are worth a lot of money and have seen them on Ebay go for almost $1000 or more if complete and in good shape.
Let us know what you have and can help you with its value. I have blueprints (actually patent drawings) if needed and possibly a spare handle if needed. Not looking to sell my McDowell but glad to help.
