Does anyone have any info about this airplane, it is an early 7AC with a serial number of 282, built in 1946.
It is currently in the UK and about to fly with a C-85 instead of a tired old A-65 !

Maybe you've already checked this out, but according to FAA records, the number N81661 is now assigned to a helicopter in Grants Pass, Oregon. So guess that's not a lot of help. Any idea how long it's been in the UK?
Where are you located in the UK? We have been there on occasion (in the Manchester/Skipton area). Beautiful country.
