Need "Aeronca Service Helps & Hints #26"

Post by Mikek »

I am working on getting the STC for the install of a A75-8 engine.
Got copy of STC for Reference. It calls out for Cowling Modification
listed in Service letter #26, which I do not have, would someone
have copy that would scan, fax or send it to me?

Need Aeronca Serbice Helps & Hints #26

Post by Bob Eilers »

Mike,

I had to get mine from American Champion - they have the Aeronca drawings - forget what it cost, but remember it didn't seem like a great deal. My drawings were destroyed by my A&P when using them to complete my cowling mod. Definitely do the mod - makes a big difference cooling wise.

Will give them a call, but my A65-8 runs cool most of the time would not mind alittle more heat to keep the moisture out.

Aeronca Service Help & Hints #26

Mike,

My Champ prior to the cowl mod was developing oil temps as high as 230 on a hot day. After the mod I seldom exceed 190.
