Has anyone on the group used "Western Skyways, Inc" for any engine service or overhaul?
I have a friend of mine who is looking at getting his engine overhauled there and asked me to see if anyone has had any dealings with them.
Thx,
Joe A

They built an AEIO-540 for the Chipmunk. We put a little over 1000 hard hours on it; half the time at 2700/29. It held up fine and the oil analyst always came back clean. But that engine always had a vibration in it. We chased it with a prop balance several times, but never seemed to null it. And I'll second Paul's comment; they're nice folks, but hard to deal with sometimes.

I had my Cessna T210F's TSIO-520 Continental overhauled there and was very pleased with the engine and their warranty service. I would go there again if I had a big bore Continental to have overhauled.
This was about 3 years ago.
