Data Plate location

Is there a specific/required location for the Data Plate on a Champ?
Are there any drawings that maybe specify a location, or can you just put it where ever you want.
Where did you put yours?

It has to be atached to the airplane. Jim,
I believe the correct place is on the left side near the passenger seat and screwed to the floorboards. I've also seen them just inside the door on the right side of the passenger seat but don't think that's the 'factory spot'.

If you look at the 7A mannual, the data tag goes on the rear panel, high and left, behind the back seat. But I've seen them on the floor mostly.

Just had one of those "whew" moments. One of the only parts missing from my Champ project is the rear seat bulkhead. Checked the floorboards, however, and found the data plate.

Thanks nkh, ...I was looking at no less than a 1/2 dozen spots and "fighting" with where to put the darn thing,
so I put it where it belongs...top left corner, rear bulkhead.

I see on the drawing there is reference to a manufacturers association plate.
Anyone ever seen one of these or bothered to fabricate or install one?
Also what were these internal panels made from originally? My 1949 7CCM now has grey vinal covered panels which are a bit ugly by now. Just wondering.
