Hi,

Many thanks for all the happy birthday greetings today. When ask what I
contribute my long life to the answer is milk, bananas, peanut butter and
the rest is eating mostly junk food. I'm to old to change my diet now so I
guess if it ain't broke then don't fix it. My fabric is starting to wrinkle
so perhaps another coat of dope may help.

I guess to day I too can officially join the rank of OF.

Back in the 80's, I was in the old, old flymarket at Oshkosh (when it was located were the warbirds are today) and a gentleman struck up a conversation with me about a used vacuum pump I was looking at. He was very nice to talk with and seemed like a really nice guy, a fellow airplane lover.

As he was walking away, a "Champ" friend walked up and asked if I knew who I was talking with. I did not know so he filled me in. It was of course, Bill Pancake.

I have never forgotten how nice he was to this "dumbsh*t.
