Aeronca part needed
hi I am looking for the rudder horn that bolts to the bottom of the rudder. Any help or leads are appreciated. Please call Trevor 414-380-0817 Thank You
Re: Aeronca part needed
You find them from time to time on Ebay or Barnstormers. Be very careful and measure the old one or ID on the rudder tubing. Many of these being sold are not the right size and will not fit your rudder.

Could be wrong here but it seems that Wag Aero had one that fits. You need to measure the diameter
first, though. I would also install eye bolts in the holes to prevent them from being pulled out of shape by the springs.

The point that Mike brings up is a very big one. Using "eye bolts" in the horn area where the springs attach saves you in this area.

I believe the WagAero one is really for a J3. I got mine direct from American Champion. It is longer than the J3 one. You can see the difference in the manual.MikeB wrote:Could be wrong here but it seems that Wag Aero had one that fits. You need to measure the diameter
