85hp Champ
I have sold an award winning T-Craft. It is being flown to Stellar Airpark, Chandler, Arizona. It is a 65 with no starter. I am looking for a clean 85hp champ, hangared, basic instruments, STARTER, etc. Thanks. Jim P. (LSA)
Re: 85hp Champ
JC,
I have a friend who has a nice champ with a C85-12F engine he's willing to sell. He's located in Edenton, North Carolina. you can email him at tark36@mediacombb.net. If that doesn't work, you can send me a PM or post on the forum how to get up with you.

Jim,
I think you should buy my O-235 powered Champ. I put it up for sale last fall and then took it off the market due to not having time to show it because I was out of town. I am going to advertise it again in the next week or so. Buy it with the floats and keep it at Essex!!!

Re: 85hp Champ
Robert,
If you are asking me, well it was listed on here for sale last fall and there are pictures of it. I will try to be as honest as I can and state that it isn't a beauty queen and has some hanger rash. Time on the engine is low and YES it is LSA. Floats are PK1500's.

I had to leave for the winter so took it off the market. I am headed back home to MN on monday morning and will be getting it annualed as soon as I can and then putting it up for sale. I wanted to keep it and put it on the Baumann amphibs but they went out of business. I bought a RANS s-7 and a set of Full Lotus Amphibs to go on it. I wanted to be able to keep the plane on my property yet still fly out to all the lakes in my area.

Re: 85hp Champ
Dont need floats. How much for the airplane. Is this the beauty that was on this site last fall? Great airplane! Is it LSA? JP
Re: 85hp Champ
Hi,
If there is someone who just wants the airplane, I have some questions about the floats and the Rigging?
What condition?
Was the plane and floats ever registered in the U.S. and if so how were the PK-1500s put on - STC / Field Approval etc.
Do you have all the rigging and fittings:
Bolt on Fuselage Fittings
Forward Fuselage (Wheel area) fittings
Twin Vertical Small Dorsal Fins
What is the over all condition.
Where exactly located.
And of Course, Price
Thanks - Robert

Re: 85hp Champ
JP,
Yep, same plane and it IS LSA compliant. Lots of people try to argue the point but I assure you that is is legal to fly under Sport pilot rules. The gross on wheels is 1300. I really don't want to sell the plane separately as it is a great little float plane. I know there is one similar in Canada for sale that looks to be a little better condition than mine and their asking price is $55,000 I believe. Personally I don't think a person could rebuild one set up similar for that amount of money.
Robert,
Yes, the plane has always been registered in the US and is currently in North central MN. near Bemidji. The floats were put on via 337. In regards to some of your questions concerning all the rigging being there...I sure hope all the rigging is there since it is currently on floats and I have been flying it that way the last few years.
If you order the CD from the FAA they are listed in there. N2567E I bought this plane on the floats for the sole purpose of getting a float rating. I have well over 100 hrs. float time in it and have flown it on wheels in the spring and fall.
Bolt on float fittings, floats were stripped and repainted just before I purchased them. The plane is in very good over all condition. I am not going to say it is excellent due to obvious scraps and bruises it has had since being completely rebuilt. I'll have to check the logs but I think the plane was totally rebuilt in '92-93.
If you look at the link I posted, pretty much everything is listed in the description. There are also pictures on this sight of the plane. Price of course is negotiable contingent on attitude. LOL

Re: 85hp Champ
Thanks Keith, I am just looking for floats and rigging. Some planes have the Welded on Rear Fuselage Fittings and some have the bolt on, which is why I was asking if you decided to sell the floats seperately if you had those parts (Without having to Un-Weld them!
) - Ciao - Robert

Re: 85hp Champ
As I recall its a brown or tan and white. I think you posted pictures a while back. I do not need floats. Even without them the airplane is probably beyond my pay grade. It sure sounds like a good performer! Let me know what you decide to do! SMOH? Wing tanks? Hangared? ETC. Thanks. Jim P.
