does anyone know where to place the level on a 7ac or 7aca when you level the plane out to do a weight and balance on the aircraft

If I remember correctly from when I did mine, it's either the floor boards and or the left side metal arm rest.

Dan,
Go to FAA.gov and look at the Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) for your plane. Every modern TCDS give the means of leveling and datum for each aircraft. For the Champ, you'll have to dig towards the back to find the leveling means and datum.

According to the Type Data Certificate, any portion of the floor to level laterally and longitudinally.
